The 2009 VUE Hybrid is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility, available in two trims, the FWD 4-Cylinder and the FWD 6-Cylinder.

Upon introduction, the FWD 4-Cylinder is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 172-horsepower, hybrid engine that achieves 25-mpg in the city and 32-mpg on the highway. A 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard. The FWD 6-Cylinder is equipped with a standard 3.6-liter, V6, 262-horsepower, hybrid engine.
